16-year-old refuses to let stepmom have the full experience of being a “girl mom” by distancing herself, stepmom desperately tries to guilt trip her, she stands her ground: ‘It’s not my job to make up for you only having boys’
Motherhood is something that so many women dream of and think about. From fantasizing about naming their children, to how many they'll have, to what genders they want. If you're a woman who ever grew up wanting children of her own, you know that it's common scripture to plan out and dream about every detail of motherhood. Of course, not every woman wants to be a mother, and not every mom is a good mom.
As ubiquitous as it is to fantasize about motherhood, we are all fully aware of the sumptuous stereotypes of moms. There's the brazen and domineering mother-in-law, the controlling and jealous stepmother, and a simply diabolical biological mom. Some people are blessed with moms they become best friends with, while others struggle to have a simple conversation with their mother.
In the story below, the protagonist is a teenage girl who's sick and tired of seeing her stepmom fuss over her. She ignores her male siblings because she wants to be a "girl mom."
